home depot buckets, HELP!

anyone know if the buckets they sell at home depot are fish safe?

im pissed

im stranded at home and i have to get 3 of my fish to a guy at work before 8pm

my only ride is my aunt and she is sick, and i dont want to go all the way to home depot to find that these are not suitable for holding fish.

yes they are safe rise it out well if you have any AQ salt wash it out with that first
 
They are safe, but suck. They can't hold a full 5 gallons without the weight causing the sides to pull in. I have had them break on me with water filled to about 6" from the top.

damm WyldFya ... glad i have my coral life buckets... now i know why my RYOBI drill battery wont charge lol CHEAP
 
I use the orange home depot buckets all the time. I havn't had any problems filling them all the way up. I have been using the same buckets for more than a year.
 
yea i have a couple and use them a lot.....but like said just rinse them out real good first and definetly don't fill them all the way up..........

What is funny about that is that Ryobi power tools are made by Milwaukee tools. My milwaukee tool set wouldn't quit if I dropped an elephant on them. :D

To all that have had good success with these buckets, that is good to hear, but you really should go buy a bucket from ace hardware. Their buckets will hold the full amount of water, and won't collapse at all. Much stronger buckets, and only 0.50-1.50 more than a home depot one.
 
I've had good luck with all of my home depot buckets.

I agree that I'm suprised you dont have any del! lol....
I get one about every time I go to the fish store lol.
