Would something like this be safe in the aquarium.. its stone powder and resin coated i guesss.. heres the link below

Not sure if that one would be safe but I have seen plenty of very similar objects that actually are made for aquarium use .

Ok im actually looking for something thats around that height 16" ... cant really find anything at the fish store

Hopefully someone who might know about those substances will chime in,in the meantime you could check Ebay and other online sources.

Can't speak to that exact piece But a company called origins makes cool realistic looking pieces like that they are made for aquariums. Think I've even seen the Buddha head before.

Dont know how this tank is now or if decor leeched any chemicals.. but nice looking tank... looking for something with that heighy

Decorations along those lines should not be too hard to find,you'll just have to do a little looking around.Even the lame-o shops here in my town regularly carry stuff like that.

Personally I would say no. In the description it says it uses a resin for the coating. Worse case if you do give it a go...I'd do lots of water changes.
