just make sure you have much much current and plenty of holes in those plexi pieces. i tried something similiar and the contained area went real bad and when i removed the container all the bad water spue'd out and almost wiped out the entire tank. lost a beautiful motoro in the process. either way cool new poly

my bad, i guess delhezi are differen't then most fish species.

ohwell, your lucky you have a delhezi, been looking for one to replace my senegal.

I've got about 10 1/3" holes in each panel, when I put it in I stirred up the tank a bit and it cleared as quick as the rest so i figure it's well circulated, I'll def keep an eye out though. Thanks!

i don't think 10 holes and a bubble wand is adequate ...i suggest adding many many holes and have a device to pump water from main tank to the enclosure this would ensure 'fresh' water into the enclosure ... it is possible that you have enough current in the enclosure to force bad water out and fresh water in ... one way to find out is test water for any high amonia and nitrite

i agree. maybe a small powerhead perhaps? just enough to keep the water running.

I think your fish is great even though I have seen Delhezi with better colors. The point is that it is YOUR fish, not anyone elses and if you are happy, that's great.

Darker substrate?

Either way he's a great looking fish!

THanks! I think he's great too, so far he's the best hunter of any poly I've raised. Really long fins for his size too. Anyways, I have a few extra power heads, I might put one in and shoot water out over the side of the enclosure. The only thing I have to watch is outlets, I'm sure everyone knows about how may outlets these tanks use....

Thanks! I noticed he was a little "sketchy" and timid, he did eat the first few days but started being weird, the tanks' water was fine however..... I added a powerhead to the enclosure, then a tube off the powerhead that shoots water into the main tank, so there's constantly water being displaced. He's acting normal again and growing like a true monster-in-the-making. Thanks again! Pics again soon....I'm a pic freak.
