I've thought about adding garlic, and was going to with my last lot I made but was in a bit of a hurry as I'd run out of other food, so I didnt bother with it. Next time I might experiment a little more, but I've alwyas just used plain beef heart before and have only just started adding prawn meat.
I dont feed this to my fish everyday though, I alternate between white bait, prawns, pellets, fish fillets etc... I dont think its healthy to feed just one food unless its a complete nutrition pellet or something? But thats boring!
sweet! i've been trying to figure out some money saving staples for my monsters.....so far im getting some good ideas, and yours just backed it up! thanks
I've never used gelatin in mine and never had a problem. Once frozen it stays together pretty well and they usually gobble it up before any hits the bottom of the tank
i wish i could find some fish food that i could make right now anything i put in the tank is fish food so i guess you could say that i make my own food
i did it once
takes too much time and work its better to buy fish food cheaper and faster
anyways her's the recipe
1/2 kg of beef heart
300g of chicken heart
300g of dried shrimp
3 cloves of peeled garlic
prescribed amount of ocean free vitamins
a few aro stick pellets
100g of carrots
50g of peas
use a blender to make a puree
then use gelatin to make them into a jelly
this was a trial error method and ended up adding 5 boxes of gelatine
then once it was cooled it was shifted to the freezer
my fish seemed to like it but i didn't like the amount of work
