no that thing is BETTER then all the $20-$30 hiding places i see at my lfs:D

Oh yeah, no doubt! I'm just saying that they charge CRAZY ca$h for less than that.
Even the small, plain stuff is way over-priced...

you will love it for a month and then get pissed cuz you cant see your awesome bichirs and take it out. taking all bets.

I've got $50 on him taking it out after a month! lol

Nice cave, but messiner is right.... given the chance to stay out of view, a lot of polys take full advantage.

I'm one of those 'why-buy-a-fish-if-you'll-rarely-see-it' people.

Ah ha! I'm also one of those people (who hate a bare looking tank full of fish) and that was taken into account when I made it up.
The final product is has the lower two entrances facing more the same angle then the drawing, purpose? to see inside. I've given away a decent cave before for that very reason. SOooo with that 50 bux I'll make you a custom cave with a good view haha. I also left a few small gaps in the rocks in the top on one side to let some light in. But even though I did all this, I still haven't put it in the tank yet so it's hard to be sure, I'll def take some pictures or video once it's in, probably this wednesday (2 days) will be the night, it's soaking in water right now.

yeah I used "aquarium sealant" but it's "type 1" silicone I've read, (on this site) next time I make anything I'll be going to home depot, get a bigger cheaper tube. There's a good thread about it in General Aquria Discussion. I'd suggest it to anyone. It was fun. Living out my crafts days

Now thats a great idea, stop the buying overpriced ornaments and make your own custom ones!! Let us know how they like it ! This is pretty inspiring, maybe I'll try it too!!!!!!! Bichir hotel!!!

get the pleco out.

haha I like the green hammocks at the top. I'd imagine that's a favorite resting spot for someone in there ?
