Pics are encouraged!! I have a good amount of decor but not so much just small caves.

Im asking because in my 110 (3 parrots,2 Red Spotted Severums, 1 Large Angel) My Large Severum is being pretty aggressive toward the two smaller parrots and smaller severum. He does well with the Larger Parrot and Larger Angel that are his size but the smaller guys could use some shelter from time to time. Nothing major minus one smaller parrot getting stressed (black spots) but he still eats and is lively as ever. I know about cichlid stones but they are very expensive to me and im not too fond of the clay pots so any shared ideas would be great!

I said it in your other thread I'll say it in this one. Too many fish for that size tank. Just my opinion.
I dont think caves and such are going to take away from the aggression, it may reduce it, granted. But it will still be present. Reducing stock would be better than filling the tank with visual barriers and caves etc.

Thats a pretty swet piece of driftwood! I have one thats maybe half that size thats been floating in my tank since this past Thursday Night so hopefully its getting close to being ready to sink. Thanks for the pic!!

I respect your opinion and if and when the day comes when the tank is crowded I will take a look at getting rid of one or two but until then I find it plenty efficient with good filtration. It wouldnt matter if it was just 3 in the tank. Most larger cichlids dont do well with smaller cichlids because of their aggression. Any hobbyist will tell you the same which is why people are encouraged to buy them close to the same size. The topic, however was about decorating the tank and creating hiding places.

go get some sandstone or slate and drill through it with a regular bit , sandstone is easier, and screw it to the underside of your wood with a stainless screws, instant sink if stone is a no go , get some 1/4 inch acrylic and bury it in your substrate

I had thought about that but was hoping it would sink in time...Im getting antsy about it though so I might do that..Thanks

im not that patient lol, when i get an idea its like right now, i have never been good at waiting lol which has caused a number of issues in the past haha like a kid on xmas

terra cotta plant pots come in many sizes.you can carefully crack them, file them at the edges,to get to size opening you want.also i have created many things using aquarium sealant, slate pieces formed into any size
