Oh no I understood you, I was just asking for more information? Is there any that you recommend? I know the FX5 is good but I have heard they loose performance level's over a short period of time.
The guy who got me back in this hobby going hard like I do right now, ran nothing but those in all of his LFS display tanks and his tanks were clean 95% OF THE TIME. The bigger display tank's were on sumps and I learned about those from him as well. When I first started someone told me I had my sump set up backwards. Well on this day I say I am doing daum good with a backwards sump.
Oh, ok. As far as canister brands, I've never used the FX5, I only have experience with Fluval and Ehiem. Ehiem make some nice canister/wetdry filters. I can't think of the model number. Personally, on my 125, I use a Pentair 600 4 piece modular system. I love it. It is a little more difficult to clean, but my water is so clear, it looks like air.
ok whenever i setup a tnak 180gal and up, my first choice for filtration would be a sump but in this instance were its not an option, id go with the 2 fx5's..
the fx5 dont hold enough media imo i like the old eheim 2260 they are basic and hold a good amount of media
all so jebo make a large canister called the 950 i use 2 off these and they are good simple filters with a 3500lph pump
so many options when it come to filtration it just comes down to price and personal preference i guess
