just picked up this pair of what i think are honduran red points. im hoping someone could tell me if they are hybrids or not, and if they are pure hondurans which locality they look like
the LFS had no idea, but i got them for 1.99 so it was a good deal. hoping to breed them in the future.

Definitely look pure to me, and GREAT pickup on them. In terms of locale, they look to be Rio Danli.

The difference between the Rio Danli and the Rio Monga seems to be the red in the tails of the fish...

Here's a rio monga

and here's my Rio Danli male

Cool, thanks. The lfs just had them labeled as blueish convicts, they are not known for their ID skills. I get stuff their pretty often. Always love a good deal. Anyone have any idea on locality, I know that might be asking a bit much but, any ideas

Nice. They defiantly look like yours, I'm very exited. Now I just have to raise them up and breed them. Thanks again

How many females do you have, I just bought one. Are they like convicts who will pair with whoever, or should I get a couple more females?

I bought 4 juvies because I could, convicts will breed with whoever, but for a strong pair bond, get a group and let the male choose. This will form a stronger pair bond.
