My largest is maybe 3", and my spawning females are just over an inch.
I keep 7 in a 45 gal high, and no other species.
below is a female guarding fry in a piece of 1.5" PVC pipe.

Duanes, those are so beautiful. Those are the exact ones I've been looking for. All the ones out here are hybrids. I'm located in Los Angeles, and since I'm new to this site I'm not sure how to PM on here. Please help me out.

You click on the private message title under your name (box to the left)
I tried to send you a PM, but the way you have your privacy settings, it would not allow. You might need to befriend.

As an example, shipping cost alone by US post office from my city to LA (I chose zip 90001 at random), arrival next day, by 10:30Am
averages $50.
You may want to find someone closer like Wetspot.

I honestly don't mind the cost. I believe they're worth it. Would you mind sending me an email? Kevinallycsula@yahoo.com because for some reason it's not letting me message you. (By the way, HRP are my favorite cichlids. I took them got granted 4 years ago and haven't had then since)

What generation are your HRP? They look like the could potentially be F1 with those bright colors.

I love HRPs. They are one of my favorite small cichlids. I've bred them in a 150g community tank and they took over by multiplying lol. I had to sell of 6 pairs and single fish. The males got really big like 4''.

Love me some HRP'S. Just rehomed a pair I got a year ago from the Wet Spot.

Over the course of the year, they breed multiple times and started to over populate the tank. So I took them all to the Wet Spot.
Lastly a male I hade a few years back
