Honestly, What the hell?!?!?

i have 2 dogs. one is a golden retriever. the other one, we bought at the mall as a golden retriever, but she grew up to be a scruffy runt.

the golden is purebred, we got it from a breeder, and we paid $800 for her. she's the nicest dog ive ever had.
the other one used to be a cute puppy, but now has semi-oily, rough, curly fur. she is a runt, we got her at the mall petshop because she watched us leave the store and we felt bad. she was $1200. now, she hassles the purebred to no end, barks everytime there is a sound slightly similar to a knock on the door, and licks her butt. a lot.

this morning, the runt pushed the purebred down a flight of 12 stairs. the purebred is now limping badly, and we have to take her to the vet.

i am so incredibly pissed off right now. what the hell.

Hating a dog will not improve its behavior. Loving the dog will.

The breed of the dog is not the dog's fault, don't blame the dog.

The vast majority of pet store dogs come from puppy mills. I honestly do not know a single person that has attained a dog from a mall pet store that has been happy with their pet long term. The number of genetic diseases they have is unbelievable. They can't be detected in young pups... so they get sold as healthy animals. The parents may be deaf, blind and have dislocated hips, but as long as they can make puppies... they get bred and the puppies get shipped to pet stores.


NEVER buy a pup whose parents haven't been looked at.

i think i can blame her for pushing the other one down the stairs. and we dont hate them. we take good care of them.

and by mentioning the breed, i was explaining that somehow we paid more for an annoying dog than we did for a very nice, gentle one.

Papers don't mean anything. I am good friends with a pet store owner that had his Amana refrigerator AKC registered. He submitted the paper work as a joke and it was approved.
