Hood or no hood? What do ya think?!

My boyfriend made this for our tank today Obviously we are going to stain it the same color as the stand but what do you guys think? Do you like it better with our without the hood? I think I will have to get used to it. It goes about 1/2" to the ceiling!

Canopies always look good, but depending on design, they can make maintenance a PITA

Hood w/o a doubt..the gap bet. tank and ceiling is relatively small and the hood ties it together .....he did a good job.

Its not bad.. but doing water change with it its gonna suck... but it looks good..

one word of advice is lower the height of the hood slightly..

keep the hood on, it's sweet. it almost gives the impression that the tank is built into a wall.

i say keep the hood, it will look nice when finished with the stain. imo, keep the hood on if you have guest coming, otherwise leave it off so it's more convienient doing water changes, unless you dont mind taking it on and off everytime
