Just thought i'd share a few pics of my A.Hoogaboomorum.

Male is around 7.5-8" female 7"

hmm they look like barred midas to me the red kind but i'm no expert on amphilophus
 
Got them from Rapps about 2 yars ago, they've only developed the orange tint recently. Im not sure whether this is the result of me feeding them colour enhancing Koi pellets, or whether this is their natural colour as adults? They recently spawned for the first time, but ate the eggs within a day. There arent many photos online to compare.
 
I have kept Barred midas in the past, and aso another closely related species A.Amarillo. Here are some old pics

they do look pretty similar but if there from rapps there probly Hoggs he knows his cichlids

nice amarillos i'm a little more familiar with them
 
Jeff got Mo's extras we collected in the Rio Chuloteca almost 3 years ago. Those are the real thing. Ken
 
My pair spawned this morning.
Hopefully this batch makes it. Fingers crossed.
