Hooray for my first Cichlids!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The 38 has lots of filtration on it. I know it can last until August if it needs to. The 65 is mostly just to hold them over until a 120 or larger can be purchased and set up. I have lots of experience keeping fish, and have full confidence in my abilities to keep these fish just fine. I do however appreciate the advice.

:iagree:

A 3" oscar should be around 9", maybe more by August. He will not appreciate that tank at that size

Why are people saying "nice" or things like that.
This is a disaster. The O's will be too big for the tank in 3-4 months and the pleco is too big.
Sorry pal, but you wont get any "nice" from me unless your tank suits the fish and i say: Suit up!

Doesn't matter how much filtration you've got on it. Buy the big tank before the big fish.

13" Sailfin in a 36G? Can it even turn around?

I have had the big tank for 11 years. I also have a second floor apartment that I don't feel comfortable risking dumping 600 pounds of water on the person below me should something happen. If I feel it needs to be done in a couple months I will, until then everything will be fine.

The Pleco can turn around in the tank. Before I got it a couple months ago, it was in a 20.
