Hoplarchus psittacus experience?

if u had eal parrot fish in a 125galon tank ure the fault not the fish!
the true parrot cichlid need more space =)
its an amazing fish when u give it spase and plenty of frozen food, they get so green

I have a 4 inch psittacus...Lots of personally and a big bully towards my red terror and red texas...the Jack dempsey I have holds his own...I think they are awsome fish...I got mine at a local store here in foxboro.

My psittacus rules my tank. He's a jerk. I love him anyway. I will definitely agree about the chocolate cichlid thing -- my psittacus hates everyone, but none more than my chocolate cichlid. When they were together, the chocolate cichlid never got any rest. The psittacus chased and attacked him all day. I eventually had to separate them permanently.

I had the same experience w/ my Hoplarchus and temporalis, unfortunately my atabapo 1 pikes killed my Hoplarchus but he was running the tank and keeping my 10in monoclus under his thumb until that day. GREAT FISH!
