Those aren't Reds, those are Hoplerythrinus Unitaentus.
I'd say thats a very young Cichla, rather than those Wolves being particularly large but still it's a fantastic video. The only other time I've ever seen them in a documentry, they were being used as live bait for catching Electric eels. My Mono is about 17-18" now and is significantly bulkier than my 13" Gold so that Cichla is probably less than 12".
...think I need some more of them.

Ivan who i think is the cameraman has a website for diving and filming flooded areas and also think he has a eye for gold wolves. Yea quite rare to see them in the wild let a lone in aquariums. I'm really starting to get the itch for them, getting worse everytime i see them. Now thats killer! It would be nice if you could update us with your pack of golds. My 2 larger ones are ok and still living happily..ish... with the Curupira. Actually, the Mono is probably the bigger thorn in their side because he steals their food. My Baby Gold is now about 6-7" and in a few months will be able to join the others. It's by far the most aggressive gold i've had and I'm not sure how it'd cope if i added a load more babies to the tank but i may try.

I can't imagine how sweet it would be having a curupira that big in your aquaria. Mine is around 10" think he grew a little bit over an inch in the past month 1/2. Now I wan't another curupira and a pack of golds. Heard it's impossible to get 2 blacks in one tank unless opposite sex even then its still risky. For sure golds are next on my list since africanman ran out of Kolibas have to talk to George now 
thanks. He's actually so much more personable than he used to be- right now He's watching TV. As they do. He's talking about 100g of prawn and muscle a day at the moment which is 4 times what he used to take.
Like you, I think I want to try for another Curupira but I get the impression it would be a challenge to get more in there. My impression is that, even now, the Species Hoplias Curupira, is, at the very least, split into a number of regional morphs that do not mix well together.
