hmmmm, those sheets are problematic. How much is shipping on giant sheets? That would be killer as well. You can ask johnptc for advice i guess. If you did build that monster, what else would go in with the aimara? Wouldn't it kill everything?

more than likely, but i have heard of lacerdae cohabs with other fish, so there's a chance. (i have a secret dream of trying to get a breeding pair or mira's accually). but time will tell.

I CALL DIBS ON FRY!!!

as much as I don't like single specimen tanks with such a big tank, that would be an awesome sight! Maybe a few juvenile pimas...Or full grown arowanas would work well? Maybe not :D

I'm guessing this guy is from Japan, from all the fish that he's posting. cool stuff :)

these fish are not the posters fish. just fish amato found on websites from japan that amato felt like posting, because of there rare/expensive nature. so there basically good converstation starters for people who think these prices are outragous or may never own one of these fish. such as aimara', channa barca, etc.

Looks like a stressed out amapa aimara. His bars are kinda faded. Very nice fish bro. They are much rarer than the VZ aimara that SA currently has. Some downsides is that they grow the slowest of all aimara that I've heard, and they get very very aggressive, so it's a negative on any tankmates. The plus side is that they are one of my favorite of all the aimara. Definately one of the nicest looking. Once he settles in, you should see some really nice copper colors and his stripes should get really dark and solid. Very nice fish bro.

Yeah my big fatass amapa grow slow enough, but he is a good 22" and fat as hell now. Oh , and it is as KRSwop said, a stressed out amapa that is in Japan.

And the fish in the pics are not his.
