Hoplias Curipura in community?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's cool gents, thanks for your input but my fahaka is my favour and primary fish. I don't wnag anything that's going to up set her too much. A wolf sounds like an unstable element in the tank. So think I will stick with the original idea. Thanks

Agreed with your last post, I wouldnt risk it. My 12" curu kills anything and everything thats introduced to the tank. His most recent victim was a 7" Aequidens metae. Luckily he is my favorite fish just as your fahaka is yours so im okay with giving him his own tank.

Same here.
I tried.
They're killers who deserve their own tank unless you house them with fish larger than themselves.

Back in the day I had a black wolf with 8 mixed pbass and two motoros. This issue was not the Curu's aggressiveness but his inability to get food as he wanted to eat on his time. Bass is Fast. He didnt seem to attack anything and always swam around. I plan on doing it again. I am curious if anyone was able to pellet train a wolf?

I have Red Wolf and Gold Wolf. I have no problem to train them with pellet. Actually, Hikari Carnivore is their favourite.
