Hornet cichlid for 1700 gallon pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Water temp shouldn't be too much of a problem, if you are really worried about it, just drip acclimate it.
so 20 to 23 degree celsius, which is the pond temperature, won't harm it

That is a little chilly. Can you bump it up to 75 degrees Fahrenheit? Twenty-three degrees Celsius is 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit, close to 75 degrees. If you could bump it a tad, then the Arowana would be fine.

I don’t know much on arowana temp needs, I’d think they are more sensitive than a pacu or rtc but that’s about all I can say.
How many pacu do you have? Have you thought of adding more to the school for extra fish (depending on how many you have). The albino are visible from above, and you wouldn’t have to worry about them not getting along.

At 14 inches, it’s still liable to be rtc food. They are fast but I’d imagine them in a cage match. Eventually they’d get caught.
