i got a phone call today with some really bad news. i left my fish in the care of my parents while im waiting to get my 283 this weekend. well my parents decided they wanted to change their tank to saltwater so they took all my fish and put them in a 55 gallon they had laying around. they used to use this 55 for guinea pigs and didnt rinse it well before putting my fish in. the death toll is 1 endli, 1 indo dat, a red oscar, lima shovelnose, synspilum, jaguar cichlid, and my fx5 which was seeded for the new tank has to get new media. needless to say im FUMING!!

If they wanted salt water, they should have bought THEIR OWN TANK.

yea i bought the 125 they are using, filters, food, and chemicals and even though i live 40 miles away now i still make it over once a week to do maintenance. thank god i havnt picked up the other 10 dats im buying yet
whats worse is my brother with his petco education is the one who assured them it would be okay because he was in a rush to get the tank setup for salt. the semi silver lining is im getting a 74x26x34 tank on sunday
aww, dude, that sucks. I hope your brother/parents are hooking you up with new fish/gear and falling overthemselves to apologize...but it's family so I doubt it. Sucks man.
