Horrible LFS Arowana tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
in philippines where i was originally from
this is 10 times as bad
i saw a tank, just a little biggr wiht literally more than 50. cos silver aros there are socheap. IN new zealand dollars, the silver aros in philippines cost less than 5 $ so US$ thats about 3$ and pounds is about 1.75 pounds. its a cheap animal to them

you buy one, they dont even use a net, they just grab it with their hands.
its cruel and gross
though they do take care of red aros very well cos they are costly where ever you are.
i have seen 15 iguanas in a tank thats designed for 2

this is a old thread the shop must have gone bust buy now or all the aros are dead :screwy:

we have people hear in the UK called the RSPCA and thats who i would have called as soon as i walked out of that shop

thats a very sad thing in them pics

Yer it is sad i am so happy i have a good LFS they look after there fish really well they even breed there own and look after them all the time and they always ask what you plan to do when i first went there they asked how big my tank was good LFS best one in my area.

their prices have gone up on that tank aswell, san antonio sucks for good stores.they were selling a gold clownknife for 50$.i had some african cichlids i told them i would trade in for him and they took it but i would feel bad for someone who bought a 12 in clown for 50.they have good prices on tanks though

You see that all too often.

The other day I wandered into a LFS only to see a Arowana a little over a foot long in what looked like a 20 gallon tank, 30 at most.

wow thats the kinda thing that pisses me off. also there same kinda people that get things with out doing research and when they get big they let them go. these are the dumbass that make fish laws happen

well, the lfs i usually go to and where i bought my silver, is not the best of the world, but it sure tale good care of the main product - the fishes.
there was only one aro, the same time i saw it i bought it. it stayed some days there, in a nice planted aqua, with 3 platis, eating very well and swimming gracefully.
other ones tried to buy it, but it was already sold, luck to me.
hope they have learned to take care of their fishes.

WOW thats crazy but if they had 6 of them sold allready and were waiting on people to pick them up that is a different story. but i dought that
