There was this thing on TV, this little girl's family raised draft horses for slaughter in France. She said she loves horses and loves to ride them, but when it comes time for them to go get slaughtered, she likes to eat them too.
Couldnt believe that. I think if she actually SAW what happens to her horses at the end, she wouldnt like horse meat anymore. She just sees them ride off in a trailer.
All very sad...there are so many people who would do just about anything to own a horse and look how some just toss them away like garbage. I'm glad horses got saved from the wreck, I didn't click on the video because I get very disturbed if I see animal abuse.
About the premarin mares, I can't imagine not allowing my horses to lay down every day. That is just horrible.

So I just looked through this and I am shocked. I am not really a "horse" person as I have never had the ability to own one (if I did have space I am sure I would be a "horse" person), but I cannot believe all of the horrible things that are happening to these beautiful animals. I did not even know that horses are still sent to be slaughtered (I know I should know better, but I would like to live in my bubble where all horses live happily ever after). I really want to go and save a horse now, but I think my husband would kill me if he came home and there was a horse in the living room with a lamp shade over his head to hide him.

Lilly it is nice enough that you care... just have heart for all animals in general, is nice to know and hear... but yes unfortunatly things like this exist.. and it really blows my mind that they breed them for the urine and babys are sent to slaughter... they cannot stop breeding because it is only the pregnant mares urine they want... horrible.. but i wish no women any harm...from taking this.. they had no idea of what or how it was made..Littlelillyanne;2363619; said:

Its still just so shocking to have these things commonly happen to horses or any animal for that matter.
