HOT GLUE! Fatal or not?

Update: The rocks were holding to the pvc really well out of water, within 1 minute of it being underwater, rocks began to fall off of the pvc and each other, I will try to score the pvc better, if that doesnt work, justlooking will be correct. So far it looks as though he is right.

I've had two rocks in my reef tank glued together with hot glue for about 6 months now, only bad thing is algae doesnt grow on it. and it looks a bit odd. no negative side effects yet.

I know that im new to this fourm but i used it in my cichlid tank with no ill effects for two years, then the glue let go and i replaced the parts with big peiced of lava rock.. i used 4"plastic pipe cut it down on a chop saw, cut it down with a heat gut i stretshed it to a cave shape and covered it with tightly packed peices of lavarock i made 3 of them and they held up for a while but i didnt sand the pipe so the glue let go. all with no "odd" deaths, they where all more or less my fault... chosing tank mates and all.

just my 2 cents.
