I was curious. Do you have to go through the same processs to get HOT lizards as HOT snakes? As i am a lizard man more then a snake man.

It all depends on your local legislation. Contact your local DEP for the exotic wildlife laws in your area.

Ok, let me limit this down to florida, do you have to go through the same thing in FL as Hot snakes. Cant find any info on it and it is 2 in the morning.

Yes you do. To work with and keep any venomous reptile you need 1000 hours of training with a licensed individual per family. So you would need 1000 hours for elapids, another 1000 hours for crotalids, another 1000 hours for Helodermatidae (which will be the lizards) etc. However most mentors will sign you off on all those at once if they have the animals on their property without making you do 3000 separate hours.
Also the only lizards that I believe are covered by this at the moment is gilas and beadeds. These are the only truly venomous lizards that science is aware of although emerging evidence suggests that some monitors are venomous

Ok, that is what i wanted to know. I am having trouble finding places that take volunteering that will allow you to train with HOT animals. I found 1 place but it is a conservation place so it is all native stuff which does not include beaded lizards and such.
