Hey... My Birchir and BGK got into it this morning.. The BGK finaly lost a battle but my girlfriend is ripped at me.. I was just wondering if any one knew anything about either gold line knifes, or centipeed Knifes.. i really want to replace her knife fish, but i want one thats alittle bit different than what every one else has... and i am planning on moving my ornate birchir to a different grow out tank so we dont have a repeat performance.. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

first and foremost, ornate are kind of agressive compared to the smaller species of bichirs. secondly have you been feeding them at least daily?
if your into bichirs, try getting the smaller species of bichirs like senegals etc.

the birchir is only 4 inch long.. and they get fed three time a day and no space issue only those to and a couple lemon barbs and a spotted raphel in a 55 grow out tank. and the GKF started the fight... he was 8 inches so not real sure he killed all kinds of fish... but i was asking bout the two other spieces ... didnt think i would get riddiculed like i was some sort of sped with 60 inches of fish in a ten gallon tank.

As for my contribution, i don't know anything about knife fish other then they look cool until they get too big. Then they just look odd to me. Good luck finding something unique to smooth things out with the girlfriend
Sorry i was snappy just lil agetated... but the BGK i had was extreamly agrressive killed all my kids sword tails and mollys couple gold fish.. and i no it wasnt hunger driven.. cause used to hand feed him blood worms at night and flake in mornin and after noon.. the clown knife i lost to a power outage was not even that aggressive... anything that whent near the bottum of the tank he pounded on... but does any one have any ideas bout the other two speicies i mentioned earlier???
