your thread titles are as bad as fishofdoom. having said that, i think hes got a rattlesnake at the moment, so he does...

The only hot I have kept was a safe one, a night snake. That was years ago.

I've kept rattlers in the past and would love to do so again but i cant justify the risk to the people around me in case i should make a mistake (and yes in time a mistake WILL happen, never a matter of if its a matter of WHEN).

I used to tell people find the meanest most insanely aggressive non venomous snake, bullsnakes, racers, some asian rat snakes. Handle it for a year or two...every time it successfully bites you while you have it on a hook or pole just minus a week from your free time and 10 grand from the bank.....

Sad to say that even though my dream is to work with all species of the genus Crotalus i'll probably have another 30 years before i'll be properly set up to do it again.

Awesome snakes but something to think very long and very hard about.

Various Sistrurus ssp.
Nice small easy to manage rattlers are quite nice.

I was playing around with lachesis untill I came to the conclusion I wanted to live a little longer.....One close call by a 5 foot female was enough for me to say screw this.

I much prefer personally dealing with Venomous snakes in the wild in their habitat rather than keeping them at home.

i have kept a few rattlers for kicks, i never handled them, and they were in like a prison cell of a cage, i see no value in WC hots, theyre just so tempermental

i made fried snake and preserved the skins and tails, that was the end of that lol

i prefer bullsnakes, and i like Jason's idea, I might keep some oddball snakes when i get a house out in some far away place, where if a snake got loose i wouldnt have to worry about the neighbors

i used to have a rattler but the girls hate them so i gave it to a friend of mine he was a quite large timber rattler at about 45" when i gave him away now he is a little longer and much fatter i would recomend against having one mine came out of the wild and he is aggressive as any thing i have ever owned very rowdy.... but awesome
