Somebody posted the other day, in a thread about cooling tanks, that he fills an ice chest with ice and puts a bowl in the ice and put his air pump in the bowl. The ambient cold air of the chest is blown into the tank and cools it pretty quick. Might want to give that a try. Good luck

I am the epitome of cool, and don't you ever forget it! XD actually, now that it's down out of the 100's here, my tanks have cooled off and all is dandy, so I'm good. I just don't like the temps being too high.

Although I'm not going to deny that we are very attached to Peek, my other thing is that she was so expensive. $25 is the most I've ever spent on ONE fish! lol So of course I worry about her more than the guppies that I'm not too horribly fond of. XD

so should I be worry about my 10 piraya being held in my uninsulated garage?

AWESOME!!! fish and tank mate!! i was looking at getting a single pirahna but apparently they need crazy filtration?? what filtration do you run?? what litre is the tank?? thanks

Thanks I appreciate it, I worked hard collecting the driftwood and saving for all the necessary parts.

Filtration is: fluval fx5, aquaclear 110, 1000gph circulator

Tank is standard 90 gal 48"x25"x18" which is about 341 litres. Soon it will be close too 600litres
