Hour of horrors!

Irish honour system is help yourself while remembering other people are coming behind you so only take your share so everyone gets something! A couple of kids forgot their manners but we still managed to have enough candy for all! So this makes me happy as I hope all the kids had fun last night.

that’s terrible that your Jack’s got disrespected! None of my displays were touched so I’m thankful for that

Okay, that's what I figured, thanks.

I'm not sure if your decorations are safer because the folks out your way are simply a better class of people...or maybe it's because your set-up is "within range" of a swift kick to the soft parts...:)

I actually live in an in between area, it has lower class and blue collar workers. So it might have just been luck lol

On the subject of halloween in the UK. I never remembered it as being a big thing over here, especially as a child. But recent years have shown it's gaining more and more momentum. Last night's weather proved that beyond doubt, it was a good turn out irrespective of the appalling conditions. I felt sorry for some of the younger kids though.

When they cried out "trick or treat" at the door I didn't know whether to pass them the box of treats, or throw them a towel!

Our party was uneventful, but then I am not young anymore . . .

We had our typical rural Manitoba Hallowe-en. As usual, I carved several jack-o-lanterns and lit them . . . as usual, when I go out later this week to use the jack-o-lanterns for their intended end use...as rifle targets...I will be shooting poorly because I will have the sugar jitters from eating too dang much chocolate. :)

For years I have I wanted to build a trebuchet that can chuck Halloween pumpkins up high enough for wingshot practice.
