no jokes aside.. I've read some posts from savage and he seems like he knows what he is talking about (and others).. and I would'nt get a fish that I cannot provide a good home.. but then again I might just get both approx 100$ for both at 2" and then upgrade for the silver.. I like buying fish at an early age and make them a project.. how much does the growth rate differ between the two? hmm.. so many fish, so little time..

asian aros grow about the same as a jar, which is approx 12" for the 1st year depending on the owner. all aros grow at about the same rate in my opinion, just that silvers and black continue growing past the 24" mark.

jupp.. your currancy is it is now compared to swedish kronor would land the price for both at about hundred i think.. maybe 110.. mkai.. great that both will grow at the same rate.. but then again, the asian will not be some fancy colored stuff..

I'm not planning on overfeeding it.. just enough to keep it from eating the fish I say it should get along with (not that I'm dont think there will be causialties) I don't like overfeeding.. (excuse my spelling btw.. not my native tounge..)

wellwell.. I think I might go with both and upgrade in two years/when it reaches 24"-26"..

thanks for the advise guys.. the aros will arrive this wednesday at the LFS and I've asked him to store them for maybe 4-5 days to get them to eat properly and check all signs of illness and such.. (really nice guy) I guess since people like arowanas and I will be a proud dad I will post a couple of pictures when they arrive..

ettfettbranamn you might get a problem with the asian since there is no legaly imported asain arowana in sweden yet. But if ur not in a hurry i might have an option for you since im workin on beein the first ever to import them legaly.. You can get a silver in alomst any fish shops in sweden and they cost like 300kr Where in sweden do u live?? Im getting my new tank in a dew weeks where im planning to start a aro community. Its 100"x30x30 or 255x75x75cm thats around 1450l or 380g
