I currently have 3 plecos a scarlet, royal, bushy nosed. My bushy nosed is in a 90 gallon tank and he is about 5in in length and is doin fine in his tank. I just bought my royal pleco about a week ago and didnt want to put him in the 90 gallon because he is a lil small at 2in. I had an eclipse 6gallon at my house so till he gets bigger i put him in that where i feed him cucumbers regularly with shrimp pellets and plenty of wood to chew on. I just recently took my scarlet pleco out of my 90 gallon tank in fear he might get eaten by my 10in shovelnose catfish. So i relocated him in with the royal they seemed to be doin fine in the tank together since they are the same size.

Is this ok if they arent fighting to keep them in the tank until they out grow it??

My scarlet pleco seems to hide a lot where my royal loves to swim around is why is this??

thanks for the help Don

Feed the Royal more veggies than shrimp.

Might be. Plecos don't need to much room. Still, that seems a little small

Plecos create a lot of waste fairly soon they will not out grow your 6 gallon tank physically in the next couple of months..my 2 cents is that they will over tax your bio limits of the eclipse filter.. water changes.water changes..water changes.....plus Royals grow very slowly. watch the scarlett for aggression as it's grow larger

Up graded to a 20 gallon and my royal died lastnite so its just gonna be my scarlet so it should be fine thanks for the info ne way
