There are plenty of logical ways to create covers for such a tank... depending on your situation/requirements you could do it via a custom build hood, or multiple panels of glass/acrylic... your euro bracing could actually be changed to a solid top with access panels cut into it (since you have not built the tank yet)
 
agreed a 6x6 tank can be easily covered especially if it isn't built yet. The 4000 gal aquarium I was building had a full cover with huge access panels on the top, and feeding ports. Too bad I didn't finish it but no way I would build a large tank without a good top.

If someone has a logical idea for one, I would consider it. Not real high on the idea, though. Plus I am building this on a fairly tight budget of cut up used 220's and plywood.
