How an MFK Sponsor does his in-home tanks ;)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's amazing that the BGK and the elephant nose can live together! My friend's e-nose get ripped in half when put in with a larger BGK. Over the year, My BGK had "accidentally" killed several large and small catfishes that had wandered to its cave. However, if the smaller fish survive after the first few days with the BGK, things seem to be ok. Probably yours is also the case, where the two of them are so used to each other's electric field that they learn to live in "harmony".

Thats a pretty cool setup, looks really nice. Thats really neat that those two fish get along so well.

Yeah.. Small fish don't seem to work so hot..

I have tried Ottos, and they all died.. Had a Trio of Kribs, and they slowly died off..

I am going to remove the dumb paradise gouramis (I wanted some open water fish..) and put in a Ctenopoma, Polypterus, and a few other nice oddballs ;)

Very nice setups :)

The BGK is about 13-14".. The biggest one I have ever seen, anywhere..

Rays? In a 55g?

I don't have a home tank big enough for one! but working on it.. My big tank is at the shop, dedicated to the Fahaka..

XoticAquatix is planning on launching a new program to help stingray enthusiests across the country. Everyone prepare yourselves for StingrayTank.com in the future ;)
THAT WILL ROCK i am looking for a fw stingray. a smaller one would be nice. i love to watch fish grow up. i have a 100g the has a 5' x 1 1/2' foot print so i wana get one small so i can save up for a bigger tank

Very nice!

I always thought that Elephant nose and BGK are not meant to be kept together because of the electric waves they put out to sense things?

Today I added a Ctenopoma, Polypterus, and an mystery fish that my exporter sent me.. some big tetra.

I thought I would share this before my post disappears off the front page.. No Thanks to Trust and all his crazy pics ;)

Ha ha! Tank is lookin' good, are you using plastic because the fish would eat the real ones or you just don't like real plants?
