interesting. It drains too?

Water free flows via PVC to the sump pump in the basement.

So it's a constant water change? That's really interesting, as I live in a townhouse and do not have to pay for water.

Not constant per se, but setup on a controller that changes water at a certain time each day and then a bigger one every 7 days.

Two ways.

For my 20g and my 55g, I do it the old fasion way. Sipon with a powerhead with clear tubing connected to pvc ( I use this as a "wand" to weild for poop ).

Two Monster tanks im setting up will be on a drip system :grinno::grinno::grinno: and will easier to maintain then the 10g tank I had when I was 9.

5' of 3/4" hose and four 5 gallon buckets......... Then I do curls with the full buckets as I take them outside to empty them as real men do.....

I don't kill anything, the whole system is in operation when the timer kicks on and starts the w/c

still tweaking and it's only on my 125 currently but I don't see a need to shutoff the pump or stop the overflow. my overflow is already faster than my pump and the incoming water is cut down to merely a trickle so there's no way the tank would overflow. then the overflow pipes in the sump drain to the yard.

still haven't hooked it to the pond as I'm currently digging the pond out again after a hedgehog/gopher/mole/??? fiasco.

on the 100g, I shutoff flow to the tank via a valve from the pump and open up a valve to a line that goes outside, the pump then starts draining the sump while the overflows continue draining until they run out of water level.

then I fill it back up and flip the valve's back.

I try to keep the pump and overflow running and do small amount's and replace then do more small amounts and replace so my pump doesn't have to be off and risk the chance of it swelling the gears or anything of that nature.
