i have 2 local aquariums seaside and newport the seaside one sucks but the newport one is very good from what i've heard the last time i was there i was 6

i hate to discredit you but both of those aquariums are terrible. i'd actually rank the seaside one better then the newport aquarium if you're talking bang for your bucks. Alot of people have great memories of the newport aquarium because they went in the 90s when keiko (the whale from free willy) but it's been garbage since. The highlight of the seaside aquarium is their two octopi and "feed the seal" exhibit.

the premiere aquariums in the northwest are not located in seaside or newport, but the seattle aquarium or point defiance zoo and aquarium in tacoma

We are getting one in Cleve. Ohio & will be open next Fall. :)
I can't waitttt. Its supposed to be EPIC. Walk through tunnel and what not. I've heard good things about Cincinnatis' aquarium but around here its pretty much just the Cleveland Zoos Aquarium which isn't that much to get excited about.

I have been to about 9 or 10 aquariums

Monterey - was great but I haven't been in years so I wont rate it.
Oahu - As a kid I remember it being epic but I haven't been to it in a long time.

Monaco - Best Aquarium that I have been to as an adult, some amazing tanks.

Chattanooga - Great aquarium, tons of native fish, turtles etc. Lacks reef setups really.

Maui - Amazing reef tanks but its very small. I think it was great but tiny.

Long Beach - It is nice and covers a lot of the California Coastal species but it is way overpriced and is disgustingly overrun on the weekends. I mean you cannot turn around sometimes.

Como Zoo and Aquarium - Great little SA section, awesome little fish house filled with Cichlids. Great for a small free city and donation funded Zoo.

Pier 39 SF - Expensive piece of turd.

Scripps in SD - small but nice for what it is.

San pedro - Small but nice for what it is.

Coyote Point - Had some nice little tanks and its a fun day for 2 bucks a person.

Stienhart - no the CA Academy of Sciences. I loved it but haven't been to the new one but I hear great things minus cost and crowds.
