How are your water changes automated?

Huh? What is this "25,000 gallon blocks"? Where can I get those? Cause this thing where I have to "change filters every 2.5 month", I don't like that. 25,000 gallons dropping 40 GPD, I could go a LONG time between filter changes. Filter guys has these long lasting filter blocks?

I am in the process of setting up mine. Tapped into a water line and hose a small hose through the ceiling down the the tank. I have very little chlorine in my water but I have a watt 5, 20,000 gallon water filter. Its a 265 gallon tank and i plan on adding about 200-300 gallons a week. I have a 1/8 hp sump pump with automatic float valve on it so i have been trying to figure out how to install it into my sump so it will work properly and take the water up about 10 feet and out through a small hole in the house.
