How bad is freezing temps for silicone?

My husband needs to go in for back surgery (two herniated disks) so he won’t be lifting anything heavy for a few months. And being fall already means the tanks will be left out till dead of winter or more likely spring.

I've had more issues with glass breaking outside in the cold rather than silicone issues

I’ve had this happen as well but I live in a very cold winter region. (Can go down to -30 regularly and sometimes -40) however my “patio” furniture is never damaged (glass coffee table and glass table)
