As some of you know, I'm new to rays, though am thinking I may have a new addiction. :naughty: Out of curiosity, I'd like to know how large and at what age are your adult motoros. I've read that they can vary in size from 18" to almost 40" So, I'm asking what real world sizes are for those of you that have them.
Thanks!
Derek

Footprint really won't affect growth except in extreme cases. Water quality, Amount of food, and genetics play a huge role.

My male was in a 72-18-27 until he was around 10" disk and he now resides in a 72-36-27.

i had a male that was about 5 yrs old and full grown at about 15". then i had females that hit about 24"

all in a 450 gal

get a male to start

exactly. mostly depends on those factors he mentioned.

I've put some money down on a female at about 5". She'll be picked up in a week and a half when I'm in the neighborhood of the owner. The way it sounds, I have at least a little bit of time to upgrade my tank.

All good info, please keep it coming. I'm big into doing research on anything I'm getting :)
