I was doing a little exploring in the lungfish rich waters of my local area on the weekend. A mate and I were stolling up stream through waist level water looking for new fishing spots, doing a bit of turtle spotting and doing a bit of feeder collecting. When we came to a half submerged tree trunk that was creating a still pool of water we saw a shadow of quite possibly the biggest Lungfish I have ever seen. This monster would easily be pushing 4.5 feet. Quite understandably I got out of the water VERY quickly, with all toes intact. i'm not too sure how old it would have been, but it was quite an experience to see somthing of such mass.
