Females mature MUCH quicker than males. My female would drop eggs just looking at other fish, but the males have no interest until a couple inches later IMO. I dunno, it seems like they are only mature at about 4-4.5 inches. At least thats the safe bet.

Oh and I have one more question for the flowerhorn experts
I was wondering what type of flowerhorns (in the first pic) they
were can anyone tell me Because I was thinking zzmalau.

Size is not the only factor . Some flowerhorn have been keep with limited food and tank size. So they are 1 year fish at 4 inches long. So it's there ages would tell.
