you guys can watch your little disney movie elsewhere

I know I said my last post was my previous one..but after checking all the threads you've started via your profile, I have a really hard time taking you seriously. They're all ridiculous questions. Questions that would be perfectly fine for a beginner, but when you've said in another thread you were scared about the tiny air bubbles from your airstone hurting your fish by catching on your filter, so you cleaned your filter, it's hard to imagine you being any kind of "expert".

Also, I'd be very very surprised if they spawned for you if you didn't know they need full marine salinity as adults. Considering the fact it's only been spawned when the salinity is rasied to full marine, and back to freshwater gradually over a 12 month period to induce spawning.

Got to go with Dread on this one. Never heard of spawning in a home aquarium. Yes they do need salt as they mature and can go full marine. They do not do well in freshwater long term. Didn't know they were mouth brooders. What is the number of this "expert". I need to talk to him, as he obviously has all the right answers that I want to hear.

They actually are mouth brooders according to all documentation. The male picks up the eggs into his mouth until they hatch.

Still doesn't sound very likely the way bengalfan suggests it happened though...

Cool, learned something new. Still don't see the above happening.
