I'm finally moving out of this top floor apartment!!!:headbang2 I have only a few months to plan and purchase my new monster tank!!! I would like to house all my monsters in one tank, and use my existing tanks for new ventures in fish keeping.
I will be getting a baby jardini next week, and I already have a big silver arowana, a flowerhorn, a red devil, a green terror, an ornate polypterus, delhezi polypterus, 5 senegal polypterus, and 2 scomb payara. I would also like to add one or two more large polypterus species in the future. Any ideas? Are these tankmates possible?

THNKS FR TH HLP!!

I hope you're planning on putting the baby jar in the 60 for now and not in the monster tank with the big silver aro........ he'll be a snack.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep the jardini in a 55 until he is big enough to hang with the others. I think if introduce him when he is smaller than everyone he may get put in his place and hopefully won't try to kill everything in the tank.

I was hoping if I had a 8-10 foot long tank that was at least 3 feet wide... i dunno. There is a place up the street that makes huge custom acrylic aquariums, so I want to start talking size with the guys up there so I can estimate my costs..

the stndfsh!!!:D

Not too sure but maybe a 10x3x3 would work better you got a lot of fish

IMHO 8x3x3 would be fine for those guys ... hell they'd actually have to consider themselves lucky because most people wouldn't give them that kinda room.

Why not go for an extra 12-24" of height though ... it would look amazing!

:iagree: That should be good for those species IMO, but make sure you have good filtration for the huge bio load. If you had the 4-5' of height and added some PBass or other mid-level swimming monster fish it would look amazing. GL with your tank

Edit: Sorry, I meant 8x3x2 would probably be fine, but 8x3x3 would look awesome.

Kobi, although4-5' height would look amazing, it's not financially practical unless you're an aquarium because the glass would have to be about 1" thick so it would cost thousands..

4'-5' height would also make cleaning and decorating a pain.
