in the wild the feeder would have a chance to escape in the tank its a bit cruel

you can use river/ghost shrimp if you want the jar to hunt

did you make sure the feeders were clean when you good them from the shop or did you just buy them and dump them in the tank

its to risky and cruel to use feeders

anyway its your fish feed it what you want
 
I don't agree that using feeders in a tank is cruel, but you're just asking for disease unless you breed them yourselves. I just got all my fish off live and I don't plan on feeding live again unless I start breeding some and give them as an occasional snack, but probably not to my jar if it's in a community environment.
 
My jar seems try to eat about anything I throw in the tank. If he's already full, and he tries to eat something else, he spits it out.
