most fish will eat anything they can fit into their mouth regardless of size. i don't know how they fit in their stomach but they somehow manage, even if it takes awhile for them to go down.
how big of a fish can a cichlid eat?

ok well i was asking because i am thinking of puttting in a school of like 20 rainbowfish in with my jackdempseys and possibly a marakley. the bows are either gonna be madagascan bows or banded australians.
We had 2 rainbows in a mixed cichlid tank and they were fine has your JD ever eaten live fish before or has he been raised on pellets or such alot of our cichlids don't even look at smaaler fish or our oscars that are about 8 inches should have eaten our inch and a half convicts.
