Just a thought on draining the tank...if you have the means to pump the water to a high-flow drain or outside, then you are probably better off getting a pump to pump the water out. I use a 4100 gph pump that is connected to a 50 ft length of 1” vinyl tubing. I run it out my front door and pump the water straight out to my lawn. I can completely drain my 220, and most of it’s 55 gal sump, in less than 8 minutes.
Once you get it drained, you can fill it up the way that works best for you. I use the same pump to pump water from a few aging barrels and combine that with straight hose water to refill my tank.
