How big Water changes should i do?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
LOL, yes that is what i call a faucet. A hose works just as well.

That should work.

Yeah, they are a little pricey, but well worth it IMO.

I know some people on here know how to make a DIY version, either way works.

Me and DIY don't mix lol, ok thanks for the info (again) i'm gonna buy one of these, my mate does w/c's on his 5ft by bucket to, and he gets a lot of hole in the head on his cichlids, i think this will be perfect for him to, cheers guys :)

Damn i'm gonna need the 50ft one cos' the distance from my tap to my tank is about 30+ ft ....gonna be expensive lol, problem is i'm finding them cheap enough, but they only seem to be available in the States and not in the UK so huuuggggeee p + p!

Everyone has different methods of changing out water.. I remove 10% daily.. vacuuming uneaten food/poop and on the weekends I do 40-50% water changes.

Yeah you have got to get a good plan for water changes. I can do a 50% change on a 150gal in under 45 minutes. I use aging barrels to heat the replacement water to tank temp and regular pumps to move the water in & out of the tanks.

Hey guys anybody know where i can get a Aquaon or Python water changer in the UK? all my lfs's say they have never heard of anything like it and they all use buckets at home.

Looks like these things don't fit UK taps at all from what i have read :( good job i didn't waist £100 on one.
