How big will a marbled african knife get?

How big will this guy get? Several people have told me he will max out at 10-12 but the op thats selling it says its alread 12"

Bgks whether marbled or regular can get 20inches. If kept long enough. Based on pic posted.

There are some other oddball knives like gymnotus sp but keeping alive long term is difficult. Can be too aggressive. If you get smaller types and occupy the same zone as polys then it may not make it.

If you keep the smaller cb Senegal bichir then a Brown Knife fish may work.

That's a ghost knife, not a Papyrocranus species. The marbled knife does get 10-12" but is exceedingly rare in the hobby.

ok I know its a morph of a ghost knife just not if they get bigger or smaller
