How big will my brown knife get

i have had it since jan of 09 and it hasnt really grown much . how much will it grow?

Which species of 'brown knifefish'? Brown ghost, Asian (Brown) Knifefish or African (Brown) Knifefish?

Anyway, they grow to 10", 20" and 11" respectively.

What are you feeding your fish? And how are you doing with water changes?

its a african i feed it flakes,bloodworms,brine shrimp
and i change it about once a week 50%

8-9 inches. tank should be 75 gallons or more

I used to have one. I gave it to a friend of mine when I moved. He said it's still alive and getting bigger.

yeah mine looks to be growing a lil bit

Mine has gown about a inch or little more since I got it some 3 months back.
As compared to other fish I found the ABK to be a slow growing variety.
Eats like a pig though and after every feeding found his belly having nice and round bulge.

They are definitely on the slower growing Knives that I've encountered. Probably the second slowest next to the Black Ghost Knife...out of the most commonly available Knives.
