How can I acclimate brackish to FW?

you are better off not trying it. keep them with some salt.
most true brackish water fish will not do well long term in full fresh. they tend to be dark in colour and fungus up easily without salt (eg. mono argenteus, archers, scats etc)
even mollies do better with some salt rather than no salt.
what species are you trying to wean off the salt?

I think he has nothing but wants to convert to full fresh? and Volt Man how do you determin the gender of Mollies?
males have a long "penis like" fin called a gonopodium on their underside.
females have a triangular shaped fin on their underside.
I just caught some platies in Kauai up a river about a mile from the beach and some more in another river about 8 miles from the beach.
I'm pretty sure it would take longer than the average drip acclimation...Heathd;4268030;4268030 said:
sry didnt read the thread but i gotta say, you cant acclimate brackish back to freshwater.. its not not possiable ( well it may be but it will be stressfull on the fish )
