How can i cure HITH desies....

How can i cure HITH desies because i think my oscar may have it and also what are some symptoms besides holes in his head.

I've found the easiest way is a better environment. This could be a larger tank, more water changes, better filtration and definately a varied diet, including veggies.
Personally I like to remove carbon too if you dont need it, but it hasnt been proven to help as far as i know.

peas and algae wafers are a good start. oscars are hogs so you can get them to eat pretty much anything. I've heard oranges help as well, but i have never tried it.

I feed mine blanched zucchini from time to time. Also steamed peas. I've heard of people feeding O's steamed carrots as well.

I had a slight problem with HITH and in a different tread, Rallysman said to remove the carbon. So I did it and it helped a lot. So Thanks Rallysman

More waterchanges better diet at least 70 gal tank and get rid of the carbon.dont bother with meds
