Another question for all you experts. Ok, so i have a 110 gallon which im am almost done "renovating". I would like to now, how can i cycle it quickly? Right now i do not have any established media but i have used seachem stability before and it worked great. The tank will be stocked with africans and i was thinking of maybe putting the fish in and using prime or maybe buying a lot of feeders and using prime with them until its cycled. Could i leave the goldfish in if i do that? Thanks i advance.

If you absolutely have to have it running faster than normal, I would look at some some of the cycling products offered at the LFS. I'm not an expert on them, but they should get you where you need to be. I always recommend not rushing things.

I am pretty set against using some “cheap” fish for a cycle. You have the chance of not just getting a cycle going, but getting a disease into the tank as well.
The Bio kick starters have those that swear by them along with many who swear at them.
Never used any, so really can’t help with that.
Doing a fish cycle, is work.
The more testing and water changes you do increase your long term success.
People the world over have bought tanks and fish at the same time. Took them home, added water from the tap, threw the fish in with mixed results.
Some had half, or better of their fish die off in the first few days. Would depend on the quality of your tap water and hardiness of the fish.
That you are here, asking questions is a good thing.
That you want to “rush” a cycle, not so good.
If you must do a fish cycle, start with only a few fish that keep your interest in the tank.
Monitor the ammonia level daily and water change to keep it at a minimum.
After a week or so, start looking for those nitrites to start growing.
I wouldn’t add more fish until done with the nitrite spike and you have a consistent nitrate level, and only a few at a time then.

I don't want a "INSTANT CYCLE", just a way to speed the cycling process just a bit. Sorry for not explaining it well. so which fish should i buy for the cycling process and would i be able to use stability to speed it up? Thanks for the fast answers.

Ops, almost forgot to add info on filtration. The tank will be filtered by:

1 Sump running at 1000gph (tested it)
1 Aquaclear 70
2 whisper 60 filters

can you borrow media from another tank? maybe a friends? if you can move bio media quickly that might help. otherwise I think introducing water from a known clean and already cycled tank might help introduce the BB you are trying to establish

the quickest way i can cycle a tank is by adding a cycle product and some fish food (keeping the filter and heater running) and then a couple of days later add some cheap tropical fish like tetras. after another couple of days add the fish you want slowly.

It sounds and looks like you already have a tank up and running. Take like 50% of the filter media from there and put it in the new tank's filter. Also gravel, decorations and water from the old tank will help aid the Beneficial bacteria.

Have the heat high, filter intake at it's highest and a bubbler if possible. All of those will speed up the process quite a lot.

Thats a problem, i don't have a tank running, i recently sold my 55 gallon to fund this baby :). Anyways i will see if i can but some established media from a lfs, i doubt the will give me some though.

Nope, no one i know has a tank and if they do they are clueless about bb. I guess ill have to go with some fish and stability and patience.
