i have a penguin 200 HOB filter on my 30 gallon and the suction, well it blows. Not even the smallest debris seem to be sucked in. im just wondering weather i can do anything to improve suction without having to go out and buy a whole new filter?
Try and return it maybe? Upgrading is prob going to be your best choice. I would do the 350 or the 400. I had a 350 on my 30 gal and it did an amazing job.
yea i think thats what im going to have to end up doing cause my lfs had this kit on sale, so i cant just return one piece... is a fluval c3 or c4 be any good?
Ive had alot of problems with the smaller penguin filters. Either get one from the emperor line or an ac70 would also be very good. The only penguins ive had good luck with are the 350's the smaller ones i had crapped out within a year.
